zeromus c17f793733 in 1809d19ecb @vadosnaprimer made the disk capacity for greenzone disabled, but for some reason old settings files may still be setting a value into it, or maybe old tasprojs or something, so I just put a big limit on it so things dont crash. /shrugs 2018-01-09 14:21:58 -06:00

vadosnaprimer fbbe42d7fa tastudio: drop logic that shrinks branch screenshot popup
the fact that it was screwing up osd text (that's not pixel based by design) causes more problems than smaller popup was ever intended to solve. and it's not branch or tasproject size, because screenshots are stored in the same resolution as your emulator screen. so I don't even know which problems it was solving. if it was made to shrink because originally it couldn't expand outside tastudio, this has been resolved a while ago, and we can afford covering as much user screen as they already cover with emuhawk. unless they complain, then it can return as an option.

feos 84412eafd9 tastudio: do normal seeking while recording too. needs testing
if you go to a frame while recording and unpaused, it will seek to that frame (not touching input since rec mode is suspended), and after it reaches it, it will unpause and restore rec mode

shanehoman 89059673f0 Configure autosave in Config -> Customize... -> Advanced under the SaveRAM backup option
reduced options to 5s for HUDs or other RAM watchers or 5m, typical backup save timing in visual studio and office.
Added option for custom autosave interval
Split Autosave enable/disable and time settings
Fixed hotkey display for Flush SaveRAM (menu was reading the wrong key in HotkeyBindings)

nattthebear aac25082d0 Video dumping: Store the audiosync option in configuration, and default it to true. If the emulator's av output is perfect, the two will produce identical results. nattthebear 76022f66f9 update to framework 4.6.2. Since Windows XP 64 was very rarely used, there's no loss in switching to this if we're going to 64 bit. Add `FrameworkZipWriter` based on the 4.5 framework's built in zip writer. zeromus fbd7601b77 for evaluation:
overhaul snes core -- radically simplify IPC.

There were two goals
1. speedup (failed)
2. not break in the old way of becoming unstable when GC happens (uncertain)
3. lay framework for simplified libretro interface (success, provisional on #2)

the speedup failed, I think, because a slower libco is needed to coexist with .net. I think I will fix this be incorporating both libcos, one for bsnes internal use, and one for .net<->c++ switching

It seems like 'CanProvideAsync' was always returning true so the else if at 1621 was defaulting to setting Async, which caused an exception later.

This seems similar to some TAStudio issues where different people are getting different results depending on Windows version, but I don't see any issue with not setting Async mode.

the quicknes blacklist is still implemented separately.

Meerkov 9eafac83d4 Improve Absolute Zero Mode by 15-30%
Short-circuits out of the Render function in the main program loop.

With an NES game running at 8500 FPS before, this brings it to 9700 FPS.

With no game loaded, running at 45k FPS, this brings it to 60k FPS.

it it's own function.

Meerkov 91c5eda526 Update FPS Counter
Changes the FPS counter to fade.

Why: FPS counter has a bug where it doesn't normalize the frame count to
the time passed since last update. This can result in an error of 1 FPS.
When running at 30 FPS, that is ~3.33%. The lower the FPS, the worse
this error grows.

1) Adds a parameter for how often to update the FPS (e.g. 16 times per
second).

2) Normalizes to the number of seconds passed since last update (fixing
the bug).

3) Adds a smoothing parameter (e.g. weigh the most recent interval at
8x, and normalize with current displayed date). This results in less
jumpy FPS because it takes into account historical data.

* make trace logging "core-pushes" model, to a sink installed by the frontend. This sink can go straight to the disk without wasting memory if that's what the Trace Logger tool has selected; or the Trace Logger will buffer it if it needs to.  Formerly, we had a "core-pushes-to-buffer" and "client-pulls-once-per-frame" which necessarily caused huge buffers no matter what was going on.

feos b4a9123515 tastudio: fix editing while unpaused + left button held scenario.
now it replicates taseditor:
- editing input while unpaused, if autorestore is off, resumes emulation and ignores seek frame. if you keep holding the LMB, and follow cursor is on, it will keep scrolling, drawing and emulating
- editing input while unpaused, if autoresotre is on, fires autorestore and then just pauses on the seek frame

what's different from taseditor:
- with autorestore and follow cursor on, if you hold the button, and seek frame is below the view, it will keep scrolling down, drawing new input and emulating. taseditor does *not* follow cursor while seeking.

this all doesn't necessarily make sense, but we need people to figure out what is best for work.

Hathor86 7fb0eaf337 Add Save/Load state methods and events to ApiHawk
Now, ApiHawk can save and load name state. There are also events that
you can attached too. Furthermore, BeforeQuickSave/BeforeQuickLoad
events occurs just after user pressed button. We can react to this and
even override behavior.
Finally, I just allow .bat to take xml files (for ApiHawk doc)

Adam Michaud 19a7408c6d More ROM Extensions
Fixes the issue reported by feos
(http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=430806#430806) where some
ROM extensions were not being recognized.  I had generated the list of
ROM extensions based on the cases in RomLoader->LoadRom(), but am now
using the non-developer build list in MainForm->RomFilter().
Unfortunately, this means that if someone adds a file extension in the
future (by, say, adding a new core), this list will need updating as
well.

Also, spaces were replaced by tabs where appropriate.

Hathor86 c0f7219b06 Contextualization of external tools + Basic of ClientApi
We can now specify a context for external tools. Global, specific for a
type of emulator / system or specific for a game (If not specified, a
tool is global).  It should avoid loading something unwanted.

Also add ClientApi, a static class that can interract with EmuHawk
window (SetPadding is the only thing implemented currently).

Adam Michaud 2db8f7e14c Expanded drag and drop
Allows dragging-and-dropping of multiple files onto a running BizHawk
window.

Currently, dragging-and-dropping multiple files of the same
classification is disabled.  Classifications are listed in the
LoadOrdering Enum, and include the order in which those types of files
should be loaded (no state before ROM, etc.)
The current ordering is ROM, state, watch, CDL file, Lua session, Lua
script, cheat file, [movie file and legacy movie file].

The next thing to do is allow dropping archives and extracting the
relevant files from it, but the current hurdle is that any such loaded
file would have to be read-only, as re-saving into the archive could be
problematic.  Furthermore, all of the existing functions (copied and
split into the Loaders region) accept filenames and not streams, which
means that much of the rest of the code needs refactoring to allow
archive loading.

zeromus 5e89e563d0 overhaul lua sandboxing so that each lua script has its own sandbox. elaborate tracking of winform/event ownership to ensure that lua doesnt receive calls without going through the owner's sandbox. add win32-specific speed hacks for currdir set/get at higher speed. zeromus 22143f99fb work on stability of avi writing. Unfortunately, I did a half dozen things here, overlapping in complicated ways, and at least 2 of which were required to fix it: changed pinvoke wrapper of AVISaveOptions, removed ownership of pointers from codec token (simplified analysis and in principle [but not practice] determinism due to less GC involvement), changed life cycle management of codec token (irrelevant due to prior), changed functions used to allocate memory from AllocHGlobal to pinvoke HeapAlloc, made different assumptions of ownership/lifecycle of pointers accessed by AVISaveOptions. notably the pinvoke wrapper for AVISaveOptions was the last thing I fixed that sealed the deal, but I don't think it was that simple. 2015-12-19 05:13:31 -06:00

clone and delete are used in pair, give them similar shortcuts.
insert and clear are rare, but are simple enough to drop modifiers.

feos 69970c5ae5 tastudio: select the new cell on every rightclick.
only enabled for branches and markers, since in tasview we use rightclick to start advance/rewind.
involved some hackery, like killing context menu while OnMouseDown of the given listview, then going back to InputRoll's OnMouseDown and actually selecting a new cell. can we figure out a hovered cell while context menu is still active? also, it'd make sense to do this for leftclick as well, but without context menu hiding, there doesn't seem to be a way to force updating of listviews from InputRoll.

feos 0f6ef723bf tastudio: fix bug with ScreenshotPopupControl's alpha channel.
it was forgetting to discard alpha, and when creating a bitmap it dropped anything but lua hud, since it does have alpha bits that nothing else has, and with no lua hud involved, it showed all normally, since it didn't have to drop colors with zero alpha. lol.

+ Moved WatchList.cs to specific directory (just a matter of ordering)
+ Mark some properties and methods in watchlist as obsolete
+ Create Comparer class that are used for sorting (Only domain and
address atm, other a still stored with linq). Unlike OrderBy in LINQ, it
doesn't create a new list for sorting (so it saves memory), furthermore,
it runs faster.
Finally, change to type of Watch.Address from nullable lon to regular
long (the rare times watch.Address.Value was used, there wasn't any
check of null and so, program would have crashed -
InvalidOperationException -)

feos 128c09e7b4 progress with lua:
- added fceux and gens/snes9x pixelated fonts
- added gui.pixelFont() function for them (no resizing, so perfectly scalable)
- added background to drawText and pixelText (halo was painfully slow, so just a box)
- reordered fore and back colors for gui.text (no need to specify back every time we want to change fore). thought its back color was shadow, that is obsoleted by halo now, whose color we can't change. anyway, it's way slower than simple text functions, so they should be used mostly.
- option to toggle all scripts if none is selected. greatly reduces routine when heavily tweaking a script, and is just generally pretty.

if someone really prefers the shadow way (why would anyone?), it can be made optional. well, halo color can't be edited. regarding lua, this only affects gui.text, since it uses the same bitmap font.

marker add called from MarkerControl doesn't check TasView selection anymore: current frame has higher priority, and if we don't want a marker on it, we use TasView's doubleclic or menu to mark selection.

- text was written twice if we update tools and PauseOnFrame (seek) within one frame.
- drawings didn't update during turbo even when RunScriptsDuringTurbo was on, but a whole bunch of accumulated drawings was appearing at once, when you do a normal advance after turbo mode.

feos 62e25eadb0 tastudio: attempts to fix branch states.
relying on dynamic serial number was plain wrong, but TotalSeconds might be obsoleted by new branch field that doesn't change and is unique for each branch, like a counter of created branches.
todo: load branch states from tasproj, or at least not drop the states above divergent point when loading.
