Some changes/fixes for the GUI : no need for 2 play button in the debugger, fix some issues with the console not closing as it should when floating.
...
Wii games now show their description in the gamelist instead of the company (= always "N/A"), fix SJIS handling using wxString code instead of Win32 code, fixes some broken characters in the gamelist and ISOProperties.

Now Dolphin officially supports Multi-WiiMote (up to 4)
...
* You can connect/disconnect one or more WiiMote from Menu->Tools any time (must pause game first)
* Up to 4 Emulated Wiimotes can work together at the same timer
(PS: "Wiimote_Real" needs to be rewritten to support Multi-WiiMote, and it could be broken already now)

Some more key binding fixes. I know I should have made it in just one commit, I'm sorry, but I forgot to test some keys...

This fixes on WiiMote Button Mapping:

Num Separator
Num Lock
Right Alt -> But on keyboards that have "Alt Gr" keys it still gonnal report it as Left Ctrl, because when you press it, the OS sends a Left Ctrl then a Alt key...
Also fixes on SimplePad Button Mapping:
Num Decimal
Num Separator
Num Enter
Num Lock
Right Shift
Right Ctrl
Right Alt
Also it now differs Left (Ctrl|Shift|Alt) from the Right ones...
All keys should be working now... I left "Print Scrn" and "Pause" out because I don't think those can (or should) be bound...

Show the correct name for the HOME key when pressed on Button Mapping dialog. (It was displaying "Num 7" when you pressed the Home button (the one above "End")).

. Performance boost
(Completely non-blocking between Sound thread and CPU thread, in the meantime keeping them thread safe)
. Both 32KHz & 48KHz sound can be handled properly now
(But up-sampling is still not implemented, and I don't think any game requires it.)
. Strategy adjustment
When your PC is *NOT* capable to run the game at 100%:
>> DSound Could yield more fluent sound than OpenAL sometimes, but you will lose the sync between video & audio (since audio is played before video to guarantee fluency)
>> OpenAL Ensures video & audio are always sync'ed, but sound could be intermittent(to let slow video catch up)
. Changed default frame limit to: Auto
(Somehow this can dramatically decrease the chance of wiimote desync in game NSMB)

JITIL fixes:
...
* ble involving CR flags was branching the wrong way around.
* xorx now works when sent the same register for both the src and dest
* lbzu disabled (same as JIT) fixing a Dolphin crash
* JITIL provided with the memory exception handler fixing crashes when memory is read out of bounds.
These fixes are able to get F-Zero GX in-game when JIT FloatingPoint is disabled. Once in-game, F-Zero retires the player just like it does in JIT.
This change might fix Dolphin crashes involving JITIL in other games too.

nice little hack to make efb copies scaled with the efb so everything will look a more HD, for now there is no GUI i'm with a lot of work at home. if everyone likes this change will add it to the GUI. for now just use the config file.

Does anyone know any game that requires the "Clear FIFO BP on Rising Edge"?

Because commenting out this behavior fixes Silent Hill Shattered Memories.
If this commit breaks any game, please report.
PS: There is a EnterCriticalSection in fifo.cpp, which performs the Read Access, but there is no EnterCriticalSection in CommandProcessor.cpp which performs the Write Access, so how can we guarantee the Write Access is atomic?

Rearranged EmuWiimote & nJoy. Wow they can share one pad at the same time, and they also can be enabled/disabled separately.
...
So as long as the game supports, you can toggle controller input between them on the fly.

PS: Mario Kart Wii cannot create a new savedata because it tries to seek position in file "rksys.dat" with a very huge number even though it already knows the file is newly created, and then write to that file with 2MB data of all zeros (wrong mem addr?).
Can't find a reason yet.

fixed one nasty bug in texture loading where if a dynamic texture keeps his format but the tlut format is changed, the try or reloading the texture in the same texture could cause a hang if the size of the resulting texture is different than the original (size in bytes)
Applied a ugly temporal hack to the texture conversor to solve efb to ram misalignments and effect distortions.
in D3D:
Pseudo implementation of logic ops using basic blending: the first 8 operations are "good approximations", the remaining 8 are bullshit :) if someone have a better approximation to emulate this logic please let me know.
please test if i don't break anything in the process and test Mario kart wee you will get a nice surprise.:)

1. Make the domains of EmuWiimote & RealWiimote clearly separated, so I won't get tons of "Negative" and complaints about RealWiimote when I'm committing updates for EmuWiimote that has nothing to do with RealWiimote.

With Roll & Pitch binding to "Keyboard" and both degrees setting to "Free Swing", the "Pitch Left" and "Pitch Right" keys on keyboard now work like "Swing to left" and "Swing to right".
...
This enables you to use knife on a keyboard instead of an analog stick in games of "Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles" and "Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles".

New Feature: Free Swing for EMU WiiMote
...
How to: First bind Roll & Pitch to "Analog 1" or "Analog 2", then set Roll Degree and Pitch Degree both to: "Free Swing".
Now in games, you can swing your emulated wiimote to Up/Down/Left/Right by simply pushing your binding analog stick to Up/Down/Left/Right.
PS:The swing direction will automatically adjust itself when "Upright Wiimote" option is checked.
Now you can play "Mad World" with emulated wiimote. :)

No need to use "Sound Loop Hack", so I just removed it.
2. Fixed the WAD game loading issue. What can I say, I have to go though and patch all the WII_IPC_HLE devices to take care of this.
3. Applied tomman's Linux keyboard patch, but I can't test here, no suitable environment.
4. Disabled configuration dialogs when game is running, you have to pause game first to be able to change any configuration. (Which prevents some accidental crash to happen.)
5. Other trivial fixes, no need to mention.

Now WiiMote button mapping supports both Keyboard & Joypad, or even mixed, no need to bother Xpadder. :)

But I've only tested on Win32 SDL, don't know about Linux or 360pad.

Now "Wiimote/Nunchunk Shake" on Keyboard works(for Win only).
...
Just press the "Shake" key.
The shake involves all the three axes: X, Y, Z.
So when you press the shake key, you are actually shaking not only up-down, left-right, and forward-backward at the same time.
I did this becuse different games may require different directional shake, no need to seperate them to 3 keys I think.

Added an option "Enable Loop Audio Hack" in DSP config.
...
I know hack is not good but before we find a better way to detect different games, at least this option allows some games to output normal sound without breaking other games.
Besides, this commit will hopefully fix the "Unknown device: /dev/usb/hid" issue, but not sure as I have no game to test on this issue.

This commit fixed the Hang-up in many games, like "New Super Mario Bros. Wii", "Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles", "Fatal Frame 4: Tsukihami no Kamen", "Muramasa: The Demon Blade", and etc. You name it. OH YEAH!
This little issue really cost me some *serious* debugging time, phew...

OK, now all hardware devices are pre-created, so theoretically you can save/load state anytime anywhere, no need to wait for game title to show.
...
Besides this should boost the performance by a little.
Warning: Remember to set "Framelimit" to: Auto or 60, or else Emu Wiimote will lose sync in a second.

Fixed more memory leaks when doing state load. Now all file devices(handles) are stored in state, and this will fix some crash after loading state.
Warning: Do NOT Save/Load state before game title is shown and controllable, or else you will get a corrupt state.
If you encounter "Emu WiiMote Desync" frequently, please report the condition
(PS: To recover from wiimote desync, just load a saved state)

big commit, implemented depth textures with hardware support in D3D, so now they will be correct as in opengl. please test a lot because i only tested the ati path, nvidia path is "Theoretical" :).
...
Also reimplemented screen clearing as a color quad to support alpha blending when clearing as in the original hardware.
the funny thing is how is implemented peeking, as locking depth textures is not supported, implemented peeking copying the values form the depth texture to a r32f render target and then reading back the data.
please a lot of testing to this commit.

Well this commit has 2 parts:
...
first part if fixing, fixed, i thing, the flickering that everyone has reported, at least in my case i only have flickering in the one texture in one game and now is fixed. The other fix is not for an reported issue, is more a correctness fix, running dolphin with pix to review debug errors, result in a ton of warnings and error, now with this commit, at least for ati, there no more error or warnings, this means, correct management and state change, no accurate emulation, for this still a lot of work to do.
for this part of the commit please give me feedback and let me know of remaining issues
Te second part is the partial implementation of efb to ram copy in d3d, this won't brake anything because is commented but i commit this to ask for help from ector and donko in some errors remaining in the implementation related to differences between opengl an d3d.
if you want to test this you have to uncomment line 150 to 155 of bpstruct.cpp

Clean up Wiiuse to allow less _WIN32 defines. Windows side now spits out regular packets, and takes in regular packets. Like a normal OS should :} This shouldn't break Windows wiimote, Linux Wiimote doesn't work with this revision. Will require the new plugin which doesn't have emulated Wiimote at all.

1. Added LiveUpdates, while the configuration window is open nJoy and Wiimote will check for connected/disconnected pads
2. Removed the 'Nintendo RVL-CNT-01' device from the device list, and other SDL devices with no axes/buttons

4. Added 'Upright Wiimote' option to emulated Wiimote options

Fix GCC 4.5 Compiling. -fvisibility=hidden seems to break it, so it was removed. Non-POD objects are now errors instead of warnings in 4.5, so I had to remove the wxString::Format. and a Fix where GCC 4.5 introduced strndup. Compiling with nowx=true gave me linker problems for some reason, and I added the -flto flag but commented out. Dunno what it will do yet.

Fixes to the software plugin command processor. Made it easy to use the command processor in place of the one in video common. Use frame skip setting from the application in the software plugin instead of the internal frame skipping config setting. The WGP does not loop if the write pointer is set beyond the end of the fifo.

Implemented secondary path for hardware with no multiples render target support, so please a lot of testing from people with problems in the last release.

corrected a little depth textures still broken but now at least i discover the reason, the ultra bad news for d3d lover is, the only correct way to implement depth textures will be do a firs depth only pass disabling blending.
This is because blending is affecting the values stored in the depth texture, so to store the true values, blending mus be deactivated.
this will degrade performance but is the only "Correct" way in d3d 9. the other possibility is dx10 but that's a complete different story ;)

Implemented all the correct format conversions in efb to texture copy.
replaced all the stretcrect calls with quad draws this must improve speed a bit.
A BIGGGGGGGGGG cleanup in the code and reorganization.
reimplemented zpeek using a secondary render target ( this still is buggy so many issues left)
please a lot off feedback.

LUAInterface should have all its functionality now (excluding input/controller management). Now we need a GUI to see how it works. Added new DSP function: ClearAudioBuffer, which clears the audio buffer for pausing. Currently it doesn't work with DSound.

This is a "Try to fix" commit, reverted all the changes made by my first commit that could affect texturing, so please everyone with texture problems please test this, also in opengl let the viewport calculations the way they where, opengl can handle any values in the viewport.
...
in direct3d this is different, the only valid values are between 0.0 an 1.0 so fix this and let the shader handle the rest.
please test all this and let me know the results.

Discover that various games that have black screen problem in nvidia is just caused by having negative zfar or znear values, in ati is not a problem, the drivers can handle it.
...
This is a test, clamp the values to see if this fix the problem, please test a lot don't know if this breaks something else

fmrx can do some different behavior depending on the current mode of the fpr, but we *seem* to not have a problem ignoring this behavior...

d3d: remove the depth texture path it will not work so for now only lockable textures were available. i thing the only way will be a use a secondary render target and do a depth pass to mimic depth textures.
opengl: minor cleanup here and there and a possible fix to issue 1509, but not tested because in my system the errors remarked in the issue don't show.
commond: code reorganization an optimization in the pixel shader generator, trying to understand the tev stages, make some changes to make the generator faster (not much only started for the alpha test and fog).
this changes try start solving the diferences bethen the hardware plugins and the soft plugin.
i hope with i don't brake nothing but please test this a lot.

make SystemTimers's DSP_PERIOD setting be dependent on which dsp plugin you are using. Too ugly to do it this way -> revert :)

Also, why is DSP_PERIOD 12000, and the value sent to DSP_Update() is 12000/6??
Shouldn't it be GetTicksPerSecond()/6 (=81MHz or 121MHz) ?

OpenCL: Moved the OpenCL code from the compiled source to a separate file TextureDecoder.cl and added a .rules files to copy the updated version to the build directory.

Fixed RGB5A3 decoding with alpha
New CMPR decoding, blocks with no alpha are great, still have to figure the problems with transparent blocks. Disabled for now.
Added a better error reporting to the base OpenCL functions

Add tmbinc's patch for triforce emulation.
...
This adds triforce-specific SI and EXI devices, as well as changes DI behavior when in triforce mode. (Selecting both AM devices from main config will force the DI into triforce mode)
Also fixes up a few EXI bugs dealing with interrupts and the like (memcard insertion should work well now, and maybe BBA can progress farther :> )
Also adds real "null" EXI devices, so software won't think the dummy device is some strange unknown device anymore.

this is EXPERIMENTAL. Implemented 3 different paths to use depth textures and allow peeking.

they are extremely hard/driver Dependant so your test is needed.
there plugin will automatically select the path thats work for your hard, need that everyone post the messages that the video init throw (yes all will hate me for the messages) but is the only way to see what is the optimal path. in the next commit will clean the unused paths.
i'm afraid thath the second path is Vista dependant (you need to include vista sdk to make it work).
the third path use lockable depth buffer so there is no change in that.
now peek color is fully working and is fast because the you never lock the the real color texture only the offscreen surface.
please if someone knows a game that use peek color please test it.
also fixed blending so SMS underwater must be fixed.
this work with d3d teach me that i love opengl :)

added a more "correct" Color peeking, you can't lock the drawing surface so the correct way is to use and offscreen surface and use StretchRect to copy the data, then lock the offscreen surface and read the data. this is experimental so please test it a lot. the bad news is you can do this only for the color surface, the z-fuffer remain slow to read and only from lockable formats. the good news are the same code should work for mltisampled surfaced.

Fix XFB converting, silly mistake. Disable Texture converting ATM since it fails. And if can't read work group size, fall to 64, which is what my 8600GTS does. Tested XFB in Melee intro, got around 10FPS faster tPS faster then with CPU side

More OpenCL work, got XFB converting which needs more optimization. I haven't checked for FPS changes. My desktop isn't the best to test on anyway (Phenom 1, 32 stream processors). The package check doesn't work for me, so I just checked true if you compile with opencl=true. Requires a bit of cleanup still

Add support for button combos that are built-in to controllers:
y+x+start for three seconds updates the origin
b+x+start for three seconds resets
Changed CPeripheralInterface to a namespace and renamed to ProcessorInterface

implemented buffer format fall back to allow hardware that don't support lockable formats to run the games with Z peeking disabled, applied as well the patch suggested in issue 1494 please give heavy test to this commit

Lots of work on JIT (Implemented "unlimited instruction cache" CPU emulation. Works in JIT and JIT IL). Implemented correct PowerPC instruction cache (IC) emulation in the interpreter mode (including HID0 cache management stuff). Removed the "dcbi->dcbf" hack (again... this time it shouldn't break anything ;) )

Fixes issue 917. Fixes issue 1183. Fixes issue 1190. (those are really need to be verified)
Maybe fixes something else. Maybe breaks something. I can't test everything, so please report if you find out something.

Reorder the rendering path to make it more generic, and a little bit faster i think.
Reduce the index Buffer size to make it more Friendly to older video hardware.
get rid of the remaining annoying sps (I hope).
D3D:
Implement the same path as opengl to make the plugins more similar and maintainable.
Fixed Peek_Z this means, Pushing stars in SMG Now Works.
Please give heavy testing to this changes and compare the performance with the old path.

Add CoreAudio Backend, still needs a bit of work. Will cleanup AudioCommon.cpp, and finish off CoreAudioStream.cpp if I ever get running games working in Snow Leopard. Interpreter seems to run in to a spinlock, dunno why yet, and Jit just crashes out. Core problems is probably something I won't be able to fix

D3D, back off the buffer flipping change by r4303. It works for certain games (Zack & wiki, Rayman3, etc), but seems to break other games (Metroid prime 1 complete black) and features (frame skipping).

D3D: get rid of flickering in various games by changing way and time to flip backbuffer to frontbuffer. Also added some debugging messages. ZTP intro seems to be additionally 10%+ faster now, maybe only for me in windows mode.

D3D various: "Safe texture cache" option, texture replace instead of destroy/create when possible, a commented out "optimization" that didn't speed things up (use DrawPrimitive instead of DrawIndexedPrimitive when possible), reduce code duplication in Flush(), don't periodically clean out the shader caches since it's not really beneficial - shaders are cheap to keep. some code cleanup.

Fix compiling in Snow Leopard, the Update stuff in the Video plugin shouldn't be in the GUI since it breaks nowx builds, wasn't sure where to put it, but Render.cpp seemed like the best place. Fixed wiiuse.c, and the SConscripts needed updating for Snow Leopard. Building 32bit in Snow Leopard is apparently broken. and Running 64bit in Snow Leopard seems to fail. Haven't tracked this down yet

Kill some horribly ugly hackery :( It's just not right to pass entire IniFile objects across DLLs. Only POD (plain-old-data, like int, float, char, char[] etc) are safe to pass across DLL boundaries.

Lots of code and warning cleanup. OGL/D3D: Moved to a shared config class in VideoCommon. This lets VideoCommon code read the config without ugly hacks. Fixed various config race conditions by keeping a copy (g_ActiveConfig) of the g_Config struct which is updated once per frame.

D3D supports setting multiple shader constants at once, so let's add support for that. Very tiny speedup. Also remove the annoying black window in the background when configuring D3D before starting a game. Also make sure to write all values when converting normals - might help the cpu's write gather cache.

Add some command line options to directly specify plugins. You can use "dolphin /V Plugins/Plugin_Video???.dll" in the command line to start Dolphin with the ??? plugin. This can be done also for other plugins. There are a couple of reasons to do so. For example, Dolphin compiled in DEBUG would often crash if loaded with non-DEBUG plugins. Therefore, you may want use to DEBUG plugins when running the DEBUG dolphin by giving all the command switches.

Also add some code to show the version of the plugin in the plugin configuration window title, so we can see clearly which version of the plugin we are using.

Some shader manager changes, to avoid a shader be re-generated / re-compiled again, and again, if it is failed at the first time. There used to be cases that a vertex shader was failed, and Dolphin tried to generate/compile it forever, and caused the entire game slow down. It maybe not the case anymore after recent changes.

Debugger for DX9 plugin.

Debugger panel is displayed only if Dolphin is started with /d option.
Dump features are not implemented.
Pause/Resume buttons works, only if the plugin is built in DEBUG or DEBUGFAST configuration, not in RELEASE. These features are really only for devs, not for regular gamers.
You will be able to pause frame by frame, or by n frames, or by n primitive flushes. Other pausing options are not implemented yet.
When other pausing and dumping features are implemented, debugging will be much easier.
I have changed the DX9 project setting to use unicode character set in order to use wxWidge tools. If this causes Dolphin building problems for you, check your project setting.txt

This should fix the per-vertex PositionMatrix, the famous "Posmtx" problem, for DX9. My DX9 plugin still crashes, for some other reasons. Verified with Luigi's Mansion, it almost works.
...
BTW, this is Rice from emutalk, one of the 1964 emulator authors, and author of Rice video plugin for N64 emulators.

Some optimization on the pixel and vertex shader generators. As tested on Zelda TP, these changes should be able to reduce the number of lines in the compiled pixel shader program by 20% to 30%, for example, from 38 lines to 28 lines after the generated cg/HLSL pixel shader compiled by the cg/HLSL compiler. These could means slightly faster rasterization on slower video cards.

Also fixed shader compilation errors for DX9 plugin by using correct pixel/vertex attribute names that are compatibile with DX9 HLSL shader compiler. Now the generated vertex or pixel shader programs will compile correctly in either OGL or DX9.
However, DX9 plugin is still not fixed, even though the shader programs can be compiled now.

DSPHLE: LordMark's looping hack for AFC. looping isn't correct but it's good enough for Pikmin 2 and Zelda TP's missing music. Does cause weird "echoes" in the harp sound in Zelda Four Swords, but I think that's a fair sacrifice until we figure it out properly.
