gigaherz ad5d7376d0 So yeah, an idiot. Everything i coded the other day was bugged, and somehow i didn't realize it before commiting.

gigaherz 822e2a8166 Moved some stuff around, removed some unnecessary code, added some comments. No functional changes.
Will need updating the linux build files.

gigaherz 06db5bba38 Hackfix a problem with sio2 in the new dmac. It needs some changes to the dmac system (possibly a dmaStart function with more accurate information) to be implemented properly but for now, this will do.
Also make the autodma messages work like before so they are configurable again.

gigaherz 60987c08eb (new dmac) Sending the sio interrupts on the dma interrupt seems like a more sensible solution, but I don't know if it will actually be better or worse.

gigaherz 3eb3991b9a Apparently the sio didn't really like me setting count to 1 every byte. Hardcoded a block size of 0x24 for now, since it's what the bcr in the bios has.

gigaherz 5715c181dc I give up on the dmac branch. It will be easier to just do this in trunk, since it can be easily turned off.
I made it so each part can be enabled separately, but atm they are missing some code so nothing will work if enabled.
Commit is mostly for backup/history purposes.

Jake.Stine 7d458d583c Revamped some console log stuff.
* Added more colors!
 * VM's EE/IOP logs (the ones that come from the emulated games themselves) are colored accordingly: EE are faint cyan, IOP are faint yellow. They're intentionally "hard to read" because 99% of the time they're meaningless trivia (but still cool since it's what the actual devs would have used for developing the games!).

Dev Notes:
 * Removed Console.Status (specify blue/green colors manually if you want them).
 * Renamed Console.Notice to Console.Warning.
 * I changed the overloads so that both char* and wxChar* versions work like printf now (no need to use wxsFormat when working with unicode strings). I also removed wxString& versions of the overloads. This should (I hope) also be an easier port to wx2.9 or 3.0, when that time comes.
 * Default log color is now black instead of gray; typically you'll want to manually specify Color_Gray when doing high volume logging (like the EErec's block tracking in debug builds).

Jake.Stine 653d09e821 Lots of new code maintenance stuffs:
* Completely new assertion macros: pxAssert, pxAssertMsg, and pxFail, pxAssertDev (both which default to using a message). These replace *all* wxASSERT, DevAssert, and jASSUME varieties of macros. New macros borrow the best of all assertion worlds: MSVCRT, wxASSERT, and AtlAssume. :)
 * Rewrote the Console namespace as a structure called IConsoleWriter, and created several varieties of ConsoleWriters for handling different states of log and console availability (should help reduce overhead of console logging nicely).
 * More improvements to the PersistentThread model, using safely interlocked "Do*" style callbacks for starting and cleaning up threads.
 * Fixed console logs so that they're readable in Win32 notepad again (the log writer adds CRs to naked LFs).
 * Added AppInit.cpp -- contains constructor, destructor, OnInit, and command line parsing mess.

Jake.Stine 6b9ffd8132 Renamed memzero_obj to memzero. Been meaning to do that for a while. Also, Savestates *almost* work, but it's just not going to happen. See everyone in 5 days or so. -_-

Jake.Stine c9c924fe35 Yay, craploads of fixups for the new gui:
* Lots of crashfixes and threading rules compliance (like using wxYield instead of ProcessPendingEvents)
 * Killed off some memory corruption
 * Better error handling and reporting
 * Much speedier suspend/resume during emulation
 * Revamped entire savestate system to use a RIFF-style file format (untested, will work on it soon)

Jake.Stine e93b101f49 Cleanup: Moved some rather intrusive instances of global namespace pollution in Sio.h into a new sio_internal.h, so that the rest of the world doesn't have to ensure the pain of having BREAK and RTS macro'd to integers. ;)

Jake.Stine 1f36e97927 Major overhaul of the savestate system!
Since backwards compat of savestates got totally broken a few revisions ago anyway, I decided to take this opportunity to revamp the savestate system with some significant cleanups (yes it loses all backward compat once again). Improvements include:

 * Reduced state size by removing some unneeded data (faster saves now too!)
 * Added string tags to varios "sections" of the states to assist in troubleshooting and retaining savestate compat in future versions.
 * Better error handling and fewer memory leaks.
 * Removed some unused/obsolete data from psxRegs, Counters, and psxCounters structures.
 * Removed all old savestate versioning code, since none of the old versions are supported anymore anyways.

Jake.Stine 377830b3a9 IOP Fixes/Optimizations:
* Fixed the IOP's recExecute so that it correctly preserves X86 registers (EDI and EBX were not preserved!)
 * Optimized the recExecute procedure, seems like a nice speedup in FMVs and some games that are IOP intensive.
 * Renamed psxMemRead to iopMemRead, added new Virt/Phys functions, and fixed several instances of DMAs using translated addresses (DMAs are always physical maps). Our IOP doesn't really emulate the tlb so it won't fix anything, but it's more correct in cas stuff is better supported in the future.
 * Removed unneeded FreezeMMXRegs, since the IOPrec doesn't use any mmx/xmm regs anyway.

Jake.Stine fcad9f8ebc Added NTFS compression to the memcards folder and any memory cards used from pcsx2. Most memory cards compress exceptionally well (from 16M to 3M typically).
Also in this commit: Some minor code cleanups to sio.cpp, and added some missing setup code to the Iop Counters savestate loader; psxhblankgate and psxvblankgate weren't being re-initialized.
