LinesPrower b843378636 Lots of work on JIT (Implemented "unlimited instruction cache" CPU emulation. Works in JIT and JIT IL). Implemented correct PowerPC instruction cache (IC) emulation in the interpreter mode (including HID0 cache management stuff). Removed the "dcbi->dcbf" hack (again... this time it shouldn't break anything ;) )
Fixes issue 917. Fixes issue 1183. Fixes issue 1190. (those are really need to be verified)
Maybe fixes something else. Maybe breaks something. I can't test everything, so please report if you find out something.

rice1964 ce029df144 FPU: not need to check NaN, slightly faster. The fcmpo opcode is used a lot, really need to be much faster than it is now.

hrydgard 512053fa5e Kill some horribly ugly hackery :( It's just not right to pass entire IniFile objects across DLLs. Only POD (plain-old-data, like int, float, char, char[] etc) are safe to pass across DLL boundaries.

XTra.KrazzY 1612c6a2b8 TAS GC Recording/Playing with GUI! Yay! (Bonus: Lag Counter)
Works with frameskipping/throttling and so forth. 
Only one bug: Every subsequent play plays the same, regardless of framerate, frameskipping and throttling. The only problem is that the recording and the plays act differently, with analog sticks ONLY.

omegadox b71b0e3da2 GFX:
- FIFO changes - minor cleanup, code organization based on Nolan's changes
- Minor code cleanup
- CommandProcessor changes - Allow BP IRQ clearing for either raising or falling edges.
- Revived old SetFifoIdle code

Gets Pokemon XD to run, but will crash to any CPU-GPU desync. Other games like Metroid Prime, look happy with the new FIFO changes.

Please report any problems.

daco65 ea561430ff auto frameskip by Iulius. the automatic should make it so that dolphin doesn't skip more then needed (example: you have frameskip 9 but only need 4.2, auto will make it skip on 4.2)

cottonvibes 57dab769da Made fcmpx JIT64 set UN compare flag for NaN operands.
I think this is all thats needed to fix problematic games.

This is untested since I don't have Dolphin setup yet :/
Set 'jo.fpAccurateFcmp' to 'false' to test.

p.s. Yes its my first commit, and yes I'm drunk lol

Note to Devs:
The sNaN flag logic isn't implemented yet (and qNaN for fcmpo isn't either); I don't think games are going to be picky about that, but I might implement it later if games are still complaining (when I'm sober... xD)

XTra.KrazzY 3c9b5bbf7b Fixed the load-state memory leak, also fixed various other savestate issues. Found (probably) the cause of load-state crashing Dolphin: BPWrites. Tried to put a CriticalSection around BPWritten but it only causes Dolphin to hang when loading a state. Can someone find why it hangs?

hrydgard 486445c6c7 Turn fpAccurateFcmp off by default. Shouldn't cause any problems and should give you a small speedup (a few fps in ZWW for example) with the regular JIT. Let me know if anything breaks.

Sonicadvance1 6802f885b1 Tons of reworking of the cores to make them more...generalized, not quite there yet, but great progress. Near impossible to break this up in to smaller chunks, and may break Windows building. Can not yet switch between JitIL and JIT during runtime, but it is on my list to do.

add the ability to either keep all of dolphin's settings in the same folder, or set up a permanent working directory read from a text file in %appdata%/ (windows) ~/ (linux)

Sonicadvance1 3ede866c37 Change the Wiimote plugin a bit since it works in both OSs the way Windows does it, fix a crash that happens in PluginManager.cpp since it was not being checked correctly. and the big one, Break out the JIT core dependency, should be able to remove easily now if added to the Scons settings. This commit WILL break Windows until someone adds the new files to the VS project files

Sonicadvance1 440c0c1d14 Trying to get Dolphin to compile in Xcode, had to rename the Debugger namespace to something else since the name collided in OS X when using Xcode/Cocoa. Everything compiles except for the GL plugin, and the actual main Dolphin program. Will be trying to get them to compile after sleeping

Nolan Check ade9479005 Display buffer flips are now triggered by the CPU thread through the Video_UpdateXFB function. This is a fairly significant change of behavior, but it improves performance.
Also, render target code is cleaned up. Post-processing shaders now work with multisampling and Real-XFB mode.

hrydgard aecaf271f1 New DSP debugger: step one. (not ready yet, but try loading zelda WW and look at the dsp debugger..).
Had to shuffle around quite a lot of code to be able to extract the CodeView into a library nicely so it can be used from both the main dolphin and the LLE plugin...  also extracted the symboldb code.

itsnotmailmail 232217c1cd Added the ability to install WADs (such as DLC WADs). Currently it just installs a WAD when booting it fails (when it's not bootable), I'm not sure whether there should be a menu option specially for installing WADS...
note: If you previously manually installed WADS by creating a *file* called "CONTENT", trying to reinstall that WAD automatically will fail unless you delete the file.

Added some empty log files that some games require for DLC to be recognized.

Sonicadvance1 5b9f26c660 Work being done. Had to change MAC address to my current one, Was being lazy to get MAC address from the device. One hack I was working with to get commercial games to work is removed, only one hack left. Socket Test responds to the DHCP packets every few tries, kind of a fail still. Haven't tested in Windows yet. If only commercial games worked, and socket test didn't fail still

John Peterson 5c04af50a4 Attempt to calculate actual refresh rate (i.e. a CPU-GPU synced Mhz), no real success. Anybody have any ideas?
Is there no indication from the game when the screen refresh should occur? No, not what I could find, we currently calculate the refresh rate and m_VBeamPos from the CPU ticks progress. That works perfectly if the CPU and GPU is perfectly synced as in the single core and no-idle skipping mode. So I guess it's possible that the game doesn't indicate when the screen should be refreshed, but rather that the hardware calculate that from the CPU ticks progress. That leaves us with a problem in the dual core and idle skipping modes to calculate a CPU-GPU synced CPU ticks progress.

Sonicadvance1 3295ec38eb Have to create a thread in Linux to receive packets. Socket Test does DMA reads, but still fails to get IP address from DHCP. PSO doesn't ever call startRecv function to start up the socket reading, Which is why PSO doesn't receive sockets in Windows either. Will have to look in to this more

hrydgard f67660cbfe Remove the last use of MappedFile and kill the code. (less code is good!) (we've found that file mapping in the context of Dolphin only causes problems and give no speed gain - Dolphin gobbles address space ferociously on its own without mapping in huge disk images). Add some math util functions.

hrydgard 10442c8faa PowerPC: Fixed moronic bug in mcrfs - together with correctly computing FPRF (which is a new option, slows down slightly) in a few ops this fixes most remaining math errors in Super Monkey Ball and eliminates the need for the HLE hacks. Make sure to have up-to-date gameconfigs. Unfortunately, F-Zero still doesn't work. Misc other small changes. Indent some code.

XTra.KrazzY 2f0c872cd2 Flushing the memory card data to the hard-drive is now being done in a separate thread. Eliminates emulation delay/hang during memory card flush.
I made this because for some reason my HD is probably failing and saving hangs the emulation for a couple of seconds (at least in SA2:B). Now everything runs smoothly.

XTra.KrazzY c779f95b87 -Wii System Menu now recognizes DVDs using the Load Disc/Eject feature!
Games hang though (probably due to unknown ES call)
-/dev/di IPC: Cleaned up code and fixed a bug (which I used to accidentally find out what I did), added Volume eject feature for VolumeHandler. 
-Partially documented Wii DVD cover flags.
-Files opened in Wii Read-Write mode are now set to append.
-Removed annoying overhead-ish "Idle" log message.

As for /dev/di: Someone clearly didn't know what he was doing in that file. Someone freed memory which didn't belong to that file and then complained about a crash. Needless to say the problem is now solved.

Big TODO on the /dev/di code though, ExecuteCommand is practically doing nothing but reading.

LinesPrower ef1ecbcd0f Fixed profiled ReJIT. It's very experimental though. Makes a great performance boost, but is way too unsafe. However it seems to work fine on games I've tested. Can be enabled from ini-file (ProfiledReJIT = True in [Core]).

Sonicadvance1 cd03e98d3c More work on BBA. Socket Test gets stuck in a loop, but now it's also receiving packets in that loop, Linux only. The device to set up in Linux is a bit of a pain as well. Breaks Windows compiling, but I will commit another with Windows fix in a moment

Sonicadvance1 e72b77931c Many Fixes. Commercial games refuse to write to the NWAYC register, so it never negotiates it's fake connection. The sockettest works fantastically though, and gets stuck in an infinite loop reading the BBA's interrupt registers, trying to see if it received a packet.

Shawn Hoffman d210fbac2c Wii images can now be scrubbed and compressed (my z:tp wii is now 1.08GB :D )
Currently scrubbing will display a warning that it removes the garbage data PERMENENTLY from the original file (mainly for speed of scrubbing). It could be removed in the future if people agree with me, since it is indeed just garbage.
Any tips for making scrubbing faster would be welcomed :)

Sonicadvance1 9b7b44fff6 Slight cleanup in the main file. Win32 tries sending the packet, but fails with error 0x57 or 0x6 in WriteFile function, depending on how I have it set up. Linux sends out the packet, or at least it says it sends it out. Requires root priv in Linux and openVPN installed to use the /dev/net/tun device.

Sonicadvance1 7287ff9aa0 Commit my Windows work on the TAP side of BBA. Probably breaks Windows build until someone adds a file the the Windows project. Dunno how far it gets, someone will need to test. You need to install OpenVPN and it's TAP-Win32 driver. Need to figure out more how to do this on the Linux side now

Sonicadvance1 ad0db37fab More work. Going to seperate the TAP interface from the actual BBA emulation just like in Whinecube. The Unix and Win32 code will most likely be different, so I've seperated the files in to two to make it easier. Someone will need to add TAP_Win32.cpp to the Windows build or you won't be able to compile in Windows anymore. Both Mario Kart: DD and PSO run with BBA enabled, but it does nothing yet due to no actual networking going anywhere.

hrydgard b0bb4e6335 DSPSpy: Hide loop stack registers - they aren't relevant for most investigations.
Highlight differences on both sides.
Show the accelerator subregs in order.
Make it possible to include some code from Dolphin into DSPSpy, good for grabbing useful #defines. (had to change the GEKKO log to POWERPC).
