For ability to have better upscale than Cxbx-Reloaded's upscale hack method. You will need to download dgVoodoo** then put two files in same folder as where `cxbx.exe` file is in, which are `D3D9.dll` *(can be found in MS > x86 folder)* and `dgVoodooCpl.exe`.
1. Open dgVoodooCpl.exe file then make the changes from the list below.
* **General tab**
* Output API: **DirectX 11 (feature level 10.1)**
* Adapter(s) to use / enable: **Your current graphic card or integrated graphic**
* Scaling mode: **Centered, keep Aspect Ratio**
* **DirectX tab**
* VRAM: **1024 MB (or higher, untested)**
* Resolution: **Change to your monitor's native resolution**
* Application controlled fullscreen/windowed state: **untick**
* dgVoodoo Watermark: **(optional) untick** (REMARK: We suggest to leave it on to ensure dgVoodoo is working on your side. Then untick after confirm is working correctly.)
* Click **OK** to save the changes.
2. Open cxbx.exe file then perform the changes below from `Settings > Config Video...` dialog:
* Video Resolution: **640 x 480 32bit x8r8g8b8 (60 hz)**
* Use Hardware Video Mode: **tick** (REMARK: Hardware Video Mode is fullscreen mode)
* Force VSync: **tick** (REMARK: This is optional unless you are seeing screen tearing, then turn it on.)
* Click **Accept** to save the changes.
3. Launch your favorite title then enjoy the upscale mode! 😉
** Required `dgVoodooWIP58.zip` since it only has D3D9.dll hook file at the moment.
***
**REMARKS**
* We do not accept issue reports when using any third-party programs that altered Cxbx-Reloaded internally in any method, including dgVoodoo.
* Modern monitors does not support 640x480 resolution and will output an error of `IDirect3D::CreateDevice failed`.
* except dgVoodoo will take over and upscale of given resolution from **dgVoodoo.conf** file directly for you with the steps given above.
* When stop emulation, you will need to restart cxbx.exe in order to start new emulation.
***
For those do not know where the changes should occur in dgVoodoo's Control Panel can look at the screenshots below.
